bnetTV speaks with Yvan Ouellet of Carre Technologies at the 2012 mHealth Summit in Washington DC and gets a overview of the company.
Carré Technologies is an up-and-coming group of software and electrical engineering minds who pooled their talents to found the company in 2006. A group of young visionaries, this team has combined their skills in the fields of microelectronics, biomedicine, statistics and algorithms to develop a state-of-the-art intelligent shirt and device called Hexoskin.
Hexoskin is a smart device that connects to a compatible high tech intelligent garment with integrated sensors and captures body metrics including heart rate, breathing rate and acceleration. The Hexoskin intelligent garment offers an easy and more natural way of regularly capturing precise data. Trainers of amateur and professional athletes and sports teams who want to monitor and evaluate performance results use Hexoskin. Hexoskin software can be used by professionals and trainers to monitor and compare their athlete’s detailed body metrics on an iPhone or iPad, or via a Web interface.
Carré Technologies is building the next revolution in personal and mobile health, giving people more information about their health so they can improve their wellbeing. Carré has published four Health and Fitness applications in the App Store since in December 2010. As of May 2012 there were more than 300,000 downloads and 15,000 active users.
