What is IFA?

IFA is organized by Messe Berlin and owned by Gesellschaft für Unterhaltungs und Kommunikationselektronik (gfu). Messe Berlin produces regional, national and international trade shows, exhibitions and conventions. gfu is the Association for Consumer and Communications Electronics.

For journalists attending IFA, ShowStoppers organizes company launches, product introductions, sneak previews and hands-on product demonstrations.
ShowStoppers combines a product showcase, hands-on demos, and a reception into one special evening. The showcase begins at 6 p.m. (1800). Taking place on the Messe Berlin fairgrounds, the press event offers and informal but very effective venue for companies to demonstrate their products. We provide a buffet dinner and open bars. Journalists and analysts specifically selected and qualified by IFA and ShowStoppers work their way around the room, from demo station to station, company to company.
